To be held at St Padarns School, Llanbadarn Road, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, West Wales.

These courses normally take place once a month on Saturdays.

10am-1.30pm
Qigong (Taijiwuxigong) for health, developing healing and as a spiritual practise.

Qigong is considered to be one of the treasures of Chinese culture. It is a simple yet profound way of deepening ones connection with the cosmos, restoring health and wellbeing and developing latent abilities. In these sessions we will be practising Taijiwuxigong, a complete system of Qigong developed by Dr Shen Hongxun that is simple to practise, yet has deep long lasting effects.
Through the practise of the special standing, sitting and moving exercises, you will learn how to awaken the body's energy system, clear blocked qi from the meridians/organs, and use sound and breathing techniques to develop a calm, relaxed, body and mind. The aim being to strengthen and rebalance the body physically, emotionally and mentally, and to promote health and happiness. Beginners or experienced practitioners welcome.

For more information on Taijiwuxigong go to www.buqi.net

2.30pm-6pm
Nanpai Kung Fu for health, internal strength, and martial arts. Tai Chi Chuan, form, pushing/sensing hands, postures and applications.

In Nanpai Kung Fu we train Southern Praying Mantis and Southern Shaolin. It is a system that is practical and efficient and covers all areas of martial arts practise. On these days we will be focusing on partner work and applications from Southern Mantis boxing to develop rooting skills, speed, power and timing. There will also be a chance to train with weapons, learn patterns and develop sticking hands skills. For those who have progressed further into the system it will be possible to take gradings, though this can only be done by special arrangement.

The afternoons will now also be open for people wishing to train Tai Chi Chuan as a support to the weekly classes. In these sessions we can go through form corrections, pushing/sensing hands and applications for healing and martial arts. The training is relaxed and informal with plenty of time for questions and tea. The afternoon is open to beginners who have attended a few classes, or experienced practitioners.
